This amazing plant-based smoothie is my favorite go-to when I feel my body needs a little extra support. It features vitamin C packed fruits and veggies, plus a knob of ginger root to curb inflammation and exercise induced muscle pain, plus moringa which is a natural energy booster.
This simple & sweet smoothie recipe is really a tropical energy drink that DOES IT ALL. I know a green smoothie doesn’t sound (or look) very appealing at first sight, but when made right it can be beyond delicious.
For those interested in the health benefits, let’s just say this is one powerful combo. It will help reduce inflammation, improve digestion, provide antioxidants, eliminate muscle soreness, flush the kidneys and support the liver in detoxing. Make no mistake, this is a FEEL GOOD smoothie!
INGREDIENTS
Base
- 1 Handful of Wheatgrass
- 1/2 Cup of cold filtered water
Fruit & Veggies
- 1/2 Cup frozen banana, sliced
- 1/2 Cup pineapple (fresh or frozen)
- 2-3 large kale leaves or a handful of fresh spinach
- 1 small knob of ginger, peeled and chopped
- 1 Tsp of Anima Mundi’s Moringa
Directions
- Blend a small handful of wheatgrass with a bit of cold water (1/2 cup). Strain and set aside.
- Rinse out blender.
- Add the fruit, kale, ginger, wheat grass shot and moringa. Blend until smooth. Drink right away.
